Momentum totally with you

  1. Win the first point
  2. Know how you got there
  3. Fight, determination is not only needed when behind

Momentum with you

  1. Fight, never get complacent
  2. Focus to ensure that potential turning points against you are merely blips
  3. It’s not what is going wrong that matters, it is your reaction to it
  4. Learn to deal with gamesmanship – choose the right battlefield
  5. Keep the match moving – especially when you are in the lead

Neutral Momentum

  1. Be ready to jump out of the blocks from the first point
  2. Do not wait! Take the initiative

Momentum against you

  1. Do not rush
  2. Be positive, especially with your body language
  3. Show fighting spirit
  4. Spot potential turning points quickly
  5. Review your tactics
  6. Try to win big points or long rallies
  7. Identify patterns of play
  8. Never use gamesmanship

Momentum totally against you

  1. Do not lose hope!
  2. Take your time
  3. Play one point at a time
  4. Do not allow small or insignificant issues or distractions get on your nerves
